I’ve been a little MIA due to excessive homework, and changing things up behind the scenes here on the blog.

A few things I’ve learned about myself this past week:

  1. I am photo obsessed. I have waaaaaaay too many pictures on my computer and no space for them! I’ve also noticed when moving them to a external hard drive, I developed a paranoia that they were all going to be erased. So truthfully, I saved them on my external hard drive twice..
  2. I love photoshop. I’ve had a lot of fun building this new layout here on SealedWithAKay.
  3. I should always, I repeat,  always carry a set of house keys everywhere I go. Sunday, Mike dropped me off at the testing center so I could take my midterm. After the test we planned to run some errands and do the usual weekly house chores. While I was taking my midterm Mike went to 24hr fitness to do some swimming. He’s training for a triathlon coming up in April (so proud) So while he was working out, some nard…stole his gym bag, clothes, and car keys! Thankfully, he had left his wallet and phone in the car. I finished my midterm and called Mike, to see if he was finished at the gym…he didn’t answer. 30 mins later he called me from the gym phone and told me what had happened. I knew I didn’t have any keys to the house, where my car was and the spare key for Mike’s car. I was worried that the person who stole the keys would go out in the parking garage and click the alarm button- find his car and steal it or everything in it! Thankfully that didn’t happen, and when I called Billy he was free and was able to come and rescue us! Isn’t he the best? We got to the gym with Mike’s spare car keys and I brought him warm clothes because all he had to wear were his swim shorts! He was so happy to take off the borrowed sweater (covered in cat hair)  from the 24 hr fitness lost and found box. After, we went to a nice lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Houston- Piola! Yum!
  4. I would be quite lost without my genius friend Mike F. Recently he’s helped me with everything from Photoshop to coding questions. Believe it or not, there are some questions that can’t be solved easily with Google.
  5. I secretly love surprises, but only the good kind. I usually say “just tell me, I hate surprises!” I really need to retire that sentence, because sometimes surprises are really nice and very thoughtful!
  6. I am a card person. Sometimes the card can mean so much more than any gift. You can ask Mike, anytime we need a card for anything I take 4325 minutes to pick out the perfect one.

Happy {belated} Valentine’s Day I started making cards on the 1st of the month and hiding them in different places each day for Mike to find. They were all based around the phrase “I love you because…” I had so much fun making each card:

This Valentine’s day turned out to be my favorite because it was simple, sweet and full of unexpected surprises. Here’s one of them:
