To close out 2011, I thought it would be cool to review the year through pictures. This is the first half, January-June:

January:

We celebrated Zulema’s birthday by wiggin’ out:We to flew to Laie, Hawaii and spent a week with these awesome people:1. I attacked my shark fear by going shark cage diving!   2. I finally went scuba diving in the ocean! Our scuba guide also put an octopus on my face (if only I had a picture of that!)  3. Best roomies ever!  4. Mike’s cousins took us to Waikiki Gun Club. It was my first time at a shooting range- we shot with a Glock 17, Glock 21, AR-15 and AK-47! It was also my first time shooting anything other than a BB gun (:

February:

After re-injuring my knee on our last day in Hawaii, I came back from our trip and went right in for MPFL replacement surgery which went more or less like this (I watched this video at least 8 times before my surgery, I think that’s why I felt so confident before the surgery):

March:

We celebrated Ivanna’s first birthday! This picture was my favorite from the day, it’s a great picture of all four generations together:We also celebrated Jorge’s birthday:

We got to catchup with Tommy: (p.s. Tommy- My knee is all better- let’s get to planning that shark diving trip with Kim!)

April:

We celebrated Mike’s birthday:and Mimi’s birthday:

May:

I flew out to San Francisco to support my bestie in battle. I’ve never felt more proud to call her my best friend, this girl is tough!I also geeked out with Jimmy at the 2011 Comicpalooza here in Houston:

June:

Mike and I went to Austin, Texas to see Andres graduate from UT:Mike and I both started classes, Mike is going back to get his MBA and I’m continuing to work towards my own degree in Psychology!I went bacheloretting here in Houston and then we flew out to Las Vegas, Nevada to see Sydney and Corey get married!

the rest of 2011 to be continued…
